Yugo Apartment

Yugo Apartment is the project for Marina’s and her partner Alexey’s rented home in the Vračar area of Belgrade. The building was constructed in 1974. It is an 88 square metres space with retained layout, wooden floors, windows and doors. 

Living room is organised for listening to music. Sideboard, display cabinet, dining table and two Aldo Jacober folding chairs have been retained in the apartment by landlords.

As for the other furniture, two František Jirák dining chairs and the 60s soviet lounge chair have been found on the street and carefully restored as well as the vintage Niko Kralj magazine rack.

Artek Stool 60 from Paimio Sanatorium 90s Anniversary edition is used as a seating as well as a table.

Throughout the interior on the walls there are posters by Dima Pantyushin, Monika Lang, Ekaterina Trukhan; original paintings and analog pictures by Marina Yurieva.

In the dining area of this space one wall has been repainted from the dark grey to the light blue.

The apartment has a lot of decorative elements along with collection of lamps: 70s vintage soviet chandelier, Louis Poulsen PH5 Mini, Flos Parentesi 50 Anniversary edition, Artemide Nessino, Flos Mayday outdoor, vintage 1968 Louis Poulsen Flowerpot, Artemide Tolomeo Mini, IKEA Varmblixt, Artemide Eclisse, Flos Bellhop, two vintage 1970s Örsjö Belysning sconces and two Artemide Teti lamps.

Bedroom is equipped with a wooden IKEA bed and two bedside Kartell Componibili storage units. Curtains have been made of blue linen to add more colour to the space.

Working space is equipped with a pine IKEA table, Artek wall shelf and Vitra Evo-C chair.
